The unique event will offer rare access inside the world of Formula One, with participants running through the Red Bull Technology Campus. The route will follow a 1.87km loop through the factory grounds, the same site where championship-winning cars are designed and built, with runners also passing through the team’s pit lane in a true Red Bull Racing experience.

Participants will warm up together before heading out on course, creating an unforgettable race-day atmosphere at one of the most iconic locations in motorsport.

Starting at 12:00 GMT on 10 May, the event forms part of the global Wings for Life World Run, with participants across the world setting off simultaneously. More than 450 App Run Events are expected worldwide, with over 300,000 people expected to take part from locations spanning Los Angeles to Melbourne.

Wings for Life World Run is a unique global race that sees thousands of people start at exactly the same time worldwide. There is no traditional finish line. Instead, 30 minutes after the start, the Virtual Catcher Car sets off and steadily increases its pace. When it catches you, your race is complete. Whether you run, jog or roll in a wheelchair, you set your pace and every kilometre contributes to funding life-changing research.

Launched in 2014, Wings for Life World Run is the world’s largest running event, uniting participants across the globe in one shared moment. The virtual Catcher Car format means runners can take part wherever they are in the world and can run as far or as little as they want within the 30 minutes, whilst organised App Run events, such as Milton Keynes, also allow participants to come together and run as part of a community.

What makes the event truly unique is its impact: 100% of every entry fee goes directly to spinal cord injury research. Wings for Life has funded hundreds of research projects and clinical trials worldwide since 2004, helping drive forward treatments that are improving outcomes for people living with spinal cord injury and bringing science closer to a cure.In 2025 alone, a record €8.6 million was raised, contributing to a total of €60.53 million generated since the event began. Across all editions to date, 1,870,253 participants from 191 nationalities have taken part on all seven continents.

According to World Health Organization data, around 250,000 people sustain a spinal cord injury every year, with millions more living with its long-term effects. By taking part in the Milton Keynes App Run event, participants will not only experience an unforgettable race day atmosphere but also contribute directly to life-changing research.

Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing and Wings for Life Ambassador, said:

“I feel very privileged and honoured to be named an Ambassador of Wings for Life. It’s a charity that is extremely close to our hearts at Oracle Red Bull Racing, founded by Dietrich Mateschitz. Together, we support the mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury. We will be hosting a Wings for Life World Run App Event on our campus, open to our team and members of the community, who will run around our factory for a cause that allows us to race with a purpose.”
