Running Show First For Dublin
Following the successful launch of the NI Running Show earlier this year, organisers have announced plans to expand the event across the island of Ireland, with the Irish Running Show set to take place in Dublin in 2027.
The inaugural NI Running Show, held at the Eikon Exhibition Centre on 7–8 February 2026, proved to be a major success, featuring speakers such as The Happy Pear, Dr Michael McKillop MBE and Anna Pringle, among many others.
The event also welcomed over 100 brands, including Shokz, Decathlon and Ulster Independent Clinic, alongside thousands of runners. The show generated an impressive social media reach of approximately 2.6 million while bringing together leading running brands, expert speakers, coaches and community groups.
Building on that success, organisers have confirmed that the event will now expand into Ireland, taking place at the RDS Dublin on 6–7 February 2027.
Oonagh Cattigan, Event Director, said:
“The response to the NI Running Show has been incredible — from the brands and speakers to the thousands of runners and families who joined us in Lisburn. Bringing a Running Show to the RDS in Dublin in February 2027 is the next exciting step, and it means we can connect with even more of the island’s running community.
“Our goal is to keep the show inclusive and accessible, giving local start-ups, independent coaches and community groups the same platform as the biggest names in the sport. We’d encourage would-be exhibitors, sponsors and speakers to get in touch early — interest is already strong and we expect spaces to fill quickly.”
The Northern Ireland event also demonstrated that the show appeals to far more than experienced runners. Visitors included people interested in health, fitness and overall wellbeing, as well as families and newcomers looking to take their first steps into running.
The event aims to provide something for everyone — from elite athletes and marathon runners to beginners, young runners and those simply interested in living a healthier lifestyle.
Under the umbrella of Running Shows Ireland, the events will alternate between the North and South, enabling the show to reach a wider audience while continuing to support the vibrant running community across the island.
Interest in the Dublin event is already strong, with brands, speakers and sponsors already registering early enquiries about taking part. Anyone interested in exhibiting, sponsoring, speaking or getting involved in the Irish Running Show 2027 is encouraged to get in touch with the organisers.
Running Shows Ireland is a two-day event for runners of all abilities. The first show took place in Northern Ireland in February 2026, with Dublin 2027 confirmed and NI 2028 already in planning.
