MYLAPS in long-term BibTag agreement with ProLiveSport

MYLAPS has announced that ProLiveSport, a sports timing provider in France, has strengthened its relationship with the company by signing a multi-year agreement. The deal focuses on the use of MYLAPS’ BibTag technology for mass participation events.

MYLAPS, which is a Garmin company, is a specialist in automatic sports timing. It supports events ranging from World Marathon Majors to local community races.

ProLiveSport has already introduced BibTag at several events this month and early in the 2026 season, such as the Audencia Triathlon and the #STOP Violence Against Women charity event in Lille.

As an official partner of the French Triathlon Federation, ProLiveSport provides timing solutions for national and international events. Through its website, it also offers event management services such as registration, secure payments, and live broadcasting.

The BibTag technology utilised by the company features lightweight chips with a 99.8% claimed detection rate. This includes the MYLAPS ThinTag, which is 75% thinner than regular timing tags and is designed to reduce waste and shipping volume.
