The Flawed Hero® Movement & Marathon was created after more than 20 years working within the London Marathon, supporting and coaching thousands of runners to the start line.
Over that time, one truth stood out: most people don’t struggle because they lack motivation or ability. They struggle because life gets heavy. Grief, illness, burnout, pressure, self-doubt, and caring responsibilities are common, yet rarely acknowledged in traditional running spaces.
The Flawed Hero® exists to change that.
It isn’t a running club and it isn’t about performance for performance’s sake. It’s an inclusive, supportive movement built around honesty, connection, and purpose. Where movement is a tool for wellbeing, not comparison.
Positive movement looks different for everyone. Some days it’s running. Some days it’s walking. Some days it’s simply showing up. All of it counts.
The Flawed Hero® Marathon is the physical expression of this philosophy. A fully inclusive, midnight 26.2-mile event designed to remove intimidation and replace it with belonging. Participants are supported to move at their own pace, with fundraising at the heart of the journey, reinforcing purpose and community.
Running through the night isn’t about chasing a time. It’s about proving that even in the dark, you can keep moving forward. Together.
There’s no finish-line obsession here. Just momentum, perspective, and the belief that you don’t need to be perfect to be powerful.
