ASICS is a leading designer, manufacturer and retailer of high-performance athletic footwear, apparel and accessories. Founded in 1949 by Kihachiro Onitsuka, the company name is derived from the Latin saying Anima Sana In Corpore Sano (“A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”). Since the beginning our purpose has been to help people to achieve a Sound Mind in a Sound Body. Our founder, saw that sport and movement had the power to lift spirits, project positivity and propel people and whole communities forward. We still believe this. Today this is more relevant than ever before as stress and anxiety reach record levels. We know that sport and activity can benefit our minds. Our goal is to support more people to experience the positive impact of movement not just on the body, but also on the mind.
ASICS has regional operations in Japan, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, as well as South, East, and Southeast Asia, distributing products to over 150 countries and regions worldwide. The company also operates the Onitsuka Tiger classic footwear and HAGLÖFS outdoor brands.
