DEKA FIT Manchester to debut with ‘Ultra’ format in July 2026
DEKA, the functional fitness brand from the creators of Spartan, has launched DEKA FIT Manchester, a new indoor fitness event taking place at the Manchester Central venue, North West England, on July 25–26, 2026.
The event is designed to test a mix of strength, endurance, and power, and is set to attract athletes and enthusiasts from across the UK and international community.
The DEKA FIT format involves competitors tackling a high-intensity course of ten standardised functional zones, preceded by 500m of running, for a total course distance of 5km.
The Manchester event will also include several specific formats:
- DEKA FIT Teams: A race for two athletes who complete the course together.
- DEKA Ruck: Competitors complete the race while carrying a weighted rucksack.
- DEKA FIT Ultra: This format will make its UK debut in Manchester and involves athletes completing five circuits of the ten-zone, 5km course.
DEKA offers heats for a wide range of fitness levels, including Age Group, Elites, Youth, and Adaptives.
Emily leRoux, Vice President of DEKA International, said “As a proud Mancunian, I’m absolutely delighted to welcome fitness enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond to my city for the launch of DEKA FIT Manchester 2026.
“Manchester has a heart that beats for passion and a history of achieving great things. This is more than a competition; it’s a true decathlon of functional fitness that gives everyone a chance to step onto the floor and ‘Earn Your Mark’. Get ready, Manchester – it’s time to test your limits!”
Victoria Braddock, Managing Director of Marketing Manchester, added “Manchester has a proud sporting heritage, and we’re thrilled to welcome DEKA FIT to the city for the first time in July 2026. This two-day event adds to an exciting summer line-up and introduces a new type of fitness challenge to Manchester’s world-class sporting stage.
“Bringing together competitors of all fitness levels, we look forward to welcoming visitors to the event, who will have the opportunity to experience Manchester’s outstanding sporting facilities and competitive spirit.”
Manchester Central was chosen to offer athletes a ‘world-class indoor environment’ for racing, training, and spectating.
All finishers will receive a DEKA FIT finisher t-shirt and a medal with a detachable ‘hex coin’ to contribute towards the DEKA Trifecta.
Entries are now open for the FIT individuals and teams, plus Ultra, and Ruck formats.
Separately, Tough Mudder, which is part of the Spartan and DEKA family, is returning to the Cheshire Country Showground, just south of Manchester, on October 10–11, 2026, for its 5km, 15km, and Kids events.
