Ealing Half Marathon 2025 Unites Thousands in West London Celebration
West London came alive on Sunday (28th September) as almost 4,500 runners and thousands of spectators filled the streets for the Ealing Half Marathon 2025, delivering an unforgettable day of achievement, community spirit, and celebration.
Renowned for its scenic course and outstanding local support, the race once again lived up to its reputation as one of the UK’s most popular running events. With near-perfect running conditions, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish.
In the elite races, Joe Wigfield of Team Morespace stormed to victory in the men’s category with a time of 1:06:40, while Alice Braham of Ealing Eagles Running Club delighted the home crowd with another commanding win in the women’s race, crossing the line in 1:17:28.
But the day wasn’t just about the frontrunners. Participants of all abilities – from first-time runners and charity fundraisers to seasoned club athletes – took on the 13.1-mile challenge, cheered on by thousands of residents lining the route. Together, runners raised more than £100,000 for local and national charities, including event partners Macmillan Cancer Support, Meadow House Hospice, and Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.
“This race belongs to Ealing,” said Race Director Sandra Courtney. “The runners were incredible, but what makes this event so special is the way our residents, volunteers, and partners come together year after year. The energy along the route was phenomenal, and we’re so proud of everyone who played a part in making today such a success.”
Beyond the half marathon, the weekend featured the Ealing Mini Mile, giving young athletes their chance to shine, while Walpole Park transformed into a buzzing race village with live music, food stalls, and entertainment creating a true festival atmosphere.
The 2025 event was more than just a race – it was a celebration of determination, inclusivity, and the famous #EalingFeeling that has made the event a multi-award-winning highlight of the UK’s running calendar. Organisers have already turned their attention to next year, with registration for the 2026 Ealing Half Marathon opening on Monday 29th September at 1pm.
