Ireland’s First and Only Running Show to Debut in 2026: 7th–8th February 2026 | Eikon Exhibition Centre, Lisburn

A new landmark event for runners—the first of its kind on the island of Ireland—is set to make history on 7–8 February 2026 at the Eikon Exhibition Centre, Lisburn.

Despite the ever-growing popularity of running, Ireland has never hosted a dedicated running show—until now. The NI Running Show will bring together runners of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, offering a vibrant platform to connect, learn, and celebrate the running community.

Championing Northern Ireland’s Running Legacy

The event is spearheaded by founder Oonagh Cattigan, an experienced exhibition organizer and passionate runner with Glens Runners. Joining her in support of the event are some of Northern Ireland’s most respected running figures:

  • Lady Mary Peters, Northern Ireland’s iconic athlete and advocate for young sportspeople.
  • Dr. Michael McKillop MBE, retired middle-distance Paralympian and four-time Irish gold medalist.
  • Jonny Steede, distinguished mountain runner.

Lady Mary Peters expressed her excitement:

Dr. Michael McKillop shared his enthusiasm:

Jonny Steede added:
