RIA Member – Rasselbock Running
Rasselbock Running is a small, family run events company that operates in Nottingham and Derbyshire, while specialising in intimate and friendly events for all levels of runners.
Team Rasselbocks events tend to rotate around their looped time limited events, but they have been branching out into the world of ultras including having their foot well placed in the door of the rapidly growing Backyard Ultra community. Their bread and butter are their six hour looped events where runners can take on as many loops as they’d like with no set distance and no time pressure. Because of this we get new runners looking to get their first 5k and other runners looking to crack out a casual ultra marathon, but everyone is still socialising and rubbing shoulders at the same HQ and the same aid station.
The year peaks in July with the annual Rasselbock Marathon and Half at Sherwood Pines which bought in 650 runners in its first year and gently introduced many runners into the world of trail running for the first time. This year the event has grown into a full scale operation with a huge event village and an expected 800 participants!
Rasselbock have many talents in their pocket including creating custom wooden and glass medals and trophies for events within the running industry, as well as livestreaming running events and podcasts all over the UK; all in between the 37 events they are hosting in 2025. Not bad for a team of two.
