Wahoo Fitness Announces KICKR RUN Global Expansion – Award-Winning Smart Treadmill to launch in Austria, Germany, UAE and UK

Following a highly successful US launch in 2024, Wahoo Fitness, the leading endurance athlete fitness technology company is bringing its Award-Winning Smart Treadmill to Austria, Germany, UAE and the UK in 2025. Since its debut, KICKR RUN has received widespread acclaim.

The treadmill was also showcased for the first time in the UK at the London Marathon Expo at ExCeL London from 23rd to 26th April 2025, giving attendees the opportunity to experience its revolutionary features first-hand.

KICKR RUN introduces RunFree Mode, a groundbreaking system that uses an innovative time-of-flight sensor to adjust the belt speed to your stride, enabling seamless hands-free running and allowing you to focus solely on the joy of running, replicating the feeling of outdoor running and eliminating the need to manually change settings. It also oﬀers smart treadmill functionality, automatically adjusting speed and incline to match structured workouts and virtual environments. Fully compatible with Wahoo App (which includes Route Simulation), Zwift Run and other third-party platforms, KICKR RUN delivers an immersive, data-driven training experience.

A new innovation since the US launch, Wahoo introduces Route Simulation to KICKR RUN. Now runners can train at home on real world courses ahead of events and relive their greatest runs indoors. Any previous activity can now be run virtually, along with the option to upload real world courses from across the globe for a fully immersive experience and enhanced training for outdoor events. What’s more, with Route Simulation, Wahoo introduces detailed elevation profiles, interactive map views, and realistic grade control to unlock the full potential of KICKR RUN.

Designed to replicate outdoor running, KICKR RUN includes advanced features that enhance both performance and comfort. The lateral tilting capability simulates natural side-to-side movement, while the responsive running surface delivers realistic energy return, allowing runners to maintain their natural form and pace. For high-performance athletes, elite speed capabilities support pace of up to 4:00/mile, catering to a wide range of abilities.

Convenience and connectivity are also prioritised. An integrated tablet/laptop shelf and bottle holders provide easy access to devices and hydration during workouts. The USB-C charging port helps keep devices powered throughout training sessions, while Wi-Fi and Direct Connect options ensure reliable connectivity to training platforms. Despite its powerful features, KICKR RUN operates exceptionally quietly, making it ideal for home use without causing disruption.

KICKR RUN’s intuitive design features nudgeable control paddles, enabling runners to fine-tune pace and incline without breaking stride, even during intense sessions.
