Run Mummy Run announces charity partnership with Macmillan.

Run Mummy Run, the leading online running community for women, has announced a charity partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support.

Macmillan provides emotional, physical and financial support to anyone affected by cancer, as well as tools, opportunities and information to support health and care professionals in their roles. With around three million people living with cancer in the UK today, the support Macmillan provides has never been more important to ensure people with cancer get the help they need every step of the way.

Run Mummy Run has partnered with Macmillan to raise awareness of the vital support the charity provides. The partnership will also inform its members on how they can help raise vital funds and join Team Macmillan in a number of iconic running events throughout the year. Macmillan prides itself on offering an amazing supporter experience for all runners and it has places in a number of running events.

Run Mummy Run (RMR) was established in 2012 and is the leading online running community of its kind. The community connects over 190,000 women through a shared love of running and activity across its various channels. RMR brings women runners together to support and motivate each other, while actively promoting kindness, friendship, love, support, equality and unity as core values.

Ruby Limbrick, Senior Challenge Events Programme Manager at Macmillan, commented: “We are so excited to partner with Run Mummy Run as an official charity partner. The Covid-19 pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for many people living with cancer and the funds raised through this partnership will help us continue to do whatever it takes to provide the vital support so many rely on.”

“There are many ways that the Run Mummy Run community can get involved in supporting Macmillan over the next few months, including joining Team Macmillan in running events across the UK. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team at Run Mummy Run.”

Leanne Davies, Run Mummy Run Founder, added: “We are pleased to announce a new charity partnership with Macmillan, and to help raise further awareness of the work the charity does for people living with cancer and their loved ones across the UK. We will be working with Macmillan throughout 2022 to help promote their running events and encourage our community of runners to get involved and raise vital funds for charity.”
