SheRACES is an organisation which supports Race Organisers to make their races inclusive to female participants. Their mission is to make sure there are equal opportunities for women to race, something we feel incredibly passionate about.

This announcement comes off the back of a recent review of our Equality, Diversion and Inclusion Policy following Race Director Shane Ohly’s blog about Overcoming Barriers to Female Participation in Trail Running. In this blog, Shane takes a deep dive into the issues faced by female trail runners, and asks some hard questions about how Ourea Events are tackling them using the SheRACES guidelines as a framework.
