A little bit more about us…

Wayne is a Senior Partner at Drayton, leading the Apparel & Footwear sector, with a focus on all key functions at a senior to executive level. He works across the UK, Europe, and North America. Following his career working globally with brands such as adidas, Ellesse, and Dr. Martens, Wayne can leverage his extensive network and knowledge within the industry. Along with cycling and tennis, running has always been something Wayne has enjoyed, with his highlight being the inaugural “Beer Mile” winner at adidas, involving 4 laps and 4 pints of beer. He even beat one or two ‘former’ Olympians in the process!

Ian is the Founding Director of Drayton with a key focus on Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Technical functions. Prior to recruitment, he spent the bulk of his career at Nestlé. During his free time, Ian is a keen runner, enjoying track, road, and fell disciplines. He has competed in numerous mountain marathons around the UK after getting into it with his Dad, who has completed more than 25 Karrimor/OMM events. Ian is currently working towards completing the 6 marathon majors and will be doing New York later in 2023, leaving 2 more to go. His claim to fame is that he successfully broke the half marathon world record in 2018… dressed as a Gingerbread man.

Laura operates as a project and support team member at Drayton, with a key focus on marketing. She identifies herself as an avid hiker, relishing the opportunity to escape to Scotland and Ireland for weekend getaways. Additionally, she has had the privilege of exploring the scenic trails of the Blue Mountains in Australia. Notably, Laura is actively supporting Cancer Research by participating in the arduous task of walking 100 kilometers during the month of May. She is currently in the market for a new pair of walking shoes, so any recommendations are welcome!
