Foundation Member – Yorkshire Runner
Yorkshire runner was founded 8 years ago by 3 runners with a wealth of industry experience, Steve Brooks, Mike Deegan and Tim Agar.
The idea was simple, create a running store at the centre of the local running community, supporting local clubs, events and sponsoring young athletes.
Employing staff who are knowledgeable, bright and friendly.
Put the customer first at all times, offering club discounts that give them more reasons to shop local than online.
Have a no quibble return policy allowing returns after wearing if required to make sure that the customer gets the right shoe solution
Free gait analysis and training advice as and when required.
In short we want to be different from and better than any other running shop in Yorkshire.
Sadly Tim died unexpectedly 3 years ago, but have carried on through the pandemic and lockdown, achieving record sales and profits these past 3 years.
New team members have come and gone, but the business retains its basic customer first always philosophy, as it pays dividends in the long run.
Do the right thing and get the right result, so that’s what we do every day, every week, stocking a menu of brands slightly different from most, with a key focus on trail as well as road, with fit being paramount.
We hope we are offering a great service to the local running community, doing a great job, and having some fun at the same time.
