We teamed up with Professional ultra-marathoner and Team Injinji Athlete Courtney Dauwalter to create the colorful sock of her dreams!
The Courtney Crew is here just in time for the 2024 Hardrock 100. “I can’t wait to take these tie-dye feet on a tour of the Colorado mountains,” says Courtney, in anticipation of toeing the starting line, for the fourth time in her career. Last summer, Courtney finished in 26:14:08, breaking the previous course record by an hour and four minutes!
Courtney has been a dominant force in the running world since 2011 and has trusted Injinji socks since 2017. “I started wearing Injinji toesocks because I was consistently getting blisters on my toes during ultras. Why tie-dye? When asked about her inspiration for these socks, Courtney reflects on “the joy that tie-dye brings to any garment. The bright, vibrant colors and wild patterns make me happy. It was a no-brainer to try to make socks that could add this energy to a big adventure day out on the trails. My hope is that these socks help us all remember the fun in the adventure. No matter how difficult it gets or how hard we are pushing, we can enjoy the journey and smile because we are lucky enough to be out there exploring. It’s a party on our feet, with our feet!”
Known for sporting long shorts and adventurous socks, Courtney loves to have a pop of color in her race-day attire. The Moab and Hardrock colorways can be worn together for a vibrant combo: “There are no rules with tie-dye, so I definitely plan to mix and match the pairs. Why not!?”
