COROS debuts NOMAD outdoor adventure watch with ‘journaling’ function

COROS has officially launched the COROS NOMAD, a rugged GPS watch specifically engineered for outdoor adventurers.

The brand’s latest device features dual-frequency navigation and a suite of sport modes. The NOMAD is designed to help hikers, climbers and others heading to the outdoors stay safe with on-device weather, safety alerts, and global mapping powered by a new Gen 3 processor.

A key feature of the NOMAD is ‘Adventure Journaling’. This new function allows users to capture memories directly from their wrist by using voice commands to record notes, tag locations, and transcribe voice-to-text memos during an activity. It also supports uploading photos and videos, effectively turning the watch and the COROS app into a digital scrapbook for reliving experiences in more detail.

Features include:

  • Dual-frequency GPS for mapping with street names and waypoints
  • A durable body with a dual-layer aluminium and polymer bezel, hardened mineral glass, and 50m water resistance
  • A new high-contrast Memory-In-Pixel display for clear visibility in bright sun or low light, without notably draining the battery.
  • Up to 50 hours battery life in All-Systems GPS mode and up to 22 days in standard use.

Lewis Wu, CEO and Co-Founder of COROS, said “We built NOMAD to help adventurers have a new way to capture memories and experiences, without compromising the high-performance hardware COROS users expect.

“It’s made for those days you have in the outdoors that stick with you long after the trail ends. It can’t replace being outdoors, but it can help you remember what it felt like to be there.”

The COROS NOMAD is available in three colourways – Green, Brown, and Dark Grey – priced at US$349 / €369 / £319.
