New Suunto Run watch pitched at all levels of runner

Suunto has launched its latest sports watch, Suunto Run, which is positioned as a lightweight, accessible device designed for runners of all abilities.

The new watch includes a suite of running-specific features, as well as activity and recovery tracking. Suunto notes that the device is aimed at supporting runners across a variety of goals – from improving health and building endurance, to tracking training progress and preparing for competition.

Suunto Run is positioned as a lightweight and affordable performance GPS watch, packed with technology specifically designed for runners. It is built with a 1.32” AMOLED screen, dual band GPS and 20 hours battery life using peak GPS performance (up to 12 days use as a daily watch).

With a UK RRP of £199 and an EU RRP of €249, the new smartwatch uses a unique, new and intuitive operating system, and comes in four colours (lime, frost grey, all black, coral orange).

Weighing just 36g, the watch includes modes such as marathon, ghost runner and track running, alongside 34 other sport options including yoga, cycling and strength training. Additional features include wrist-based heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, recovery insights, and a newly added breathing app to help manage stress and breathing patterns.

The device also offers extended performance during GPS-enabled activities, with breadcrumb navigation and post-run route review via GNSS tracking and the Suunto app.

Further features include: MP3 music storage, weather updates, alarms and activity tracking. It is compatible with 22mm-wide accessory straps from Suunto.
