SALOMON PUBLISHES ITS 2024 IMPACT REPORT

Annecy, FRANCE – June 2025 -Salomon has just released our 2024 Impact Report — the third annual deep dive into our global sustainability strategy. This edition reflects another year of learning, evolution, and action as we continue our transformation toward a more responsible outdoor and sportswear industry.

Nearly a decade after launching our first sustainability strategy, the 2024 report assesses the progress we’ve made against our core environmental and social commitments, with a particular focus on product circularity, community engagement, and collaborative efforts within the industry. The report also outlines how our “Change Our Future” strategy remains central to shaping our direction, and how new initiatives are helping extend product life cycles and strengthen our transition to circular business models.

“Our strategy is to establish Salomon as a modern mountain sport lifestyle brand that is inclusive, sustainable, and progressive,” explains Guillaume Meyzenq, Salomon President and CEO. “We are commi\ed to embedding these values into all aspects of the company.”

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS IN 2024

1. Advancing Product Innovation Through Circularity. We continued to pioneer new approaches in sustainable product design:

  • The S/LAB Phantasm 2 Made in France, our first road running supershoe produced locally at ASF 4.0 in Ardèche (France), combines carbon-fiber propulsion with locally sourced materials for high performance and a reduced carbon footprint.
  • The Brigade INDEX, the first fully recyclable ski and snowboard helmet, was launched after four years of R&D and is made entirely from recyclable polyolefins.
  • In partnership with Carbios, we helped unveil the world’s first 100% fiber-to-fiber biorecycled T-shirt, created from enzymatically recycled textile waste — a breakthrough in material circularity.

2. Investing in People and Culture. In March 2024, we rolled out our first anonymous global Employee Engagement Survey, achieving an engagement score of 7.9/10, positioning us above industry benchmarks and offering valuable insights into our internal culture.

Employee training also remained a priority, with continued deployment of our sustainability learning programs. Beyond foundational sessions, our teams gained expertise in eco-design, responsible communication, CRCS certification, and more.

3. Building a More Inclusive Outdoor Community. In 2024, we reached a new milestone in our journey toward accessibility with the launch of our first adaptive running prosthesis, designed to open up trail and road running to more athletes with disabilities.

To mark the occasion, we hosted Adaptive Night at our Champs-Élysées flagship store. The event celebrated inclusive sport and was a major success, gathering athletes, partners, and community members around the latest innovations in adaptive equipment and apparel.

The Salomon Foundation also launched a new donation fund to support NGOs around the world working to make the outdoors more inclusive, complementing our ongoing mission to assist mountain professionals facing life-changing events.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2025

With 2025 marking the midpoint of our 2030 ‘Change Our Future’ strategy, we are entering a pivotal phase. We’ll continue executing our action plan while evaluating progress, refining our roadmap, and deepening alignment with business priorities.

Key priorities include:

  • Reinforcing our climate strategy and integrating it into the wider business model.
  • Scaling our circular design and eco-design platform.
  • Enhancing our impact monitoring through smarter data and tools.
  • Aligning compliance and reporting with the Amer Sports Group and our sister brands.
  • Expanding community collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strengthening our internal knowledge base with ongoing employee development.

“We’re on a journey of transformation,” shares Marie-Laure Piednoir, Global Sustainability & Impact Director at Salomon. “It takes time, but we are fully committed to shaping better futures for our business, our industry, and our communities.”
