parkrun Global is a charity that brings together communities through free, weekly, timed 5km events every Saturday morning. Founded in 2004 in London’s Bushy Park by Paul Sinton-Hewitt CBE, parkrun has grown into a worldwide movement with over 2,500 events across. 23 countries. It also includes 2km junior parkruns for children aged 4–14 every Sunday.
What makes parkrun unique is its simplicity and accessibility. Events are open to everyone, there are no entry fees, no pressure, and no barriers. Just a friendly, supportive environment that encourages physical activity and community engagement.
