The highly anticipated public ballot for the 2026 London Landmarks Half Marathon opens today (10 June), and this is your chance to secure a coveted place at this much loved event which takes in the best Landmarks across the capital.
Enter the ballot for a chance to be part of the ninth edition of this colourful celebration of running, joining 20,000 people as they take to the streets on Sunday 12 April 2026* to raise an amazing £16million for charity.
Simply click www.llhm.co.uk/ballot to enter before 12 noon on 17 June when the ballot closes. Lucky runners will be advised by email at the beginning of July.
Starting by Downing Street, the 13.1mile course takes runners through historic Westminster, past Big Ben then along the Thames Embankment towards the City to take in ‘the grand, the quirky and the hidden’ of London that make our capital so special. Run past landmarks such as the Gherkin, and the Tower of London, enjoy experiences like the Roman Reception at Guildhall Yard and the beloved West End Show choir at the It’s Showtime activation, then head back towards Trafalgar Square for a triumphant finish under Nelson’s Column and a warm welcome by the iconic Chelsea Pensions and Pearly Kings and Queens of London.
The LLHM is a SheRACES accredited event as event organisers work hard to remove barriers that prevent women from participating, and with individual waves for wheelchair participants and visually impaired runners and their guides, this is truly an event for all, celebrating both the rich diversity and inclusivity of London and the wider running community.
Lia Fyles, London Landmarks Half Marathon Race Director, says: “Year after year I never imagine the LLHM can get better, but it always does. 2025 was our biggest event yet and joy filled my heart to see the sea of runners take to the streets, each taking part for a very personal reason and raising a phenomenal £16million for many worthy causes. Running has the ability to bring people together to positively benefit not only individuals but whole communities. I’m proud that LLHM has become a shining beacon of what makes running so special.”
Running legend Dame Kelly Holmes who not only ran but also officially started the 2025 event said; “The atmosphere around the course is incredible – the music, the energy, the crowds, the charities being supported – everything about it is brilliant!”
The LLHM 2026 ballot is free to enter, with winners drawn at random so everyone that enters has an equal chance of securing a place. Lucky participants will then need to pay for their place to secure their entry into LLHM 2026 and profits will go to Tommy’s who organise the London Landmarks Half Marathon to help fund research into miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth. Entry is priced at £69.99 including booking fee for the successful applicants.
London Landmarks Half Marathon is 100% not for profit. Every step you take contributes to supporting Tommy’s, the UK’s largest pregnancy and baby charity, and their 500+ charity partners including; Alzheimer’s Society, Breast Cancer Now, Dementia UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Mind and Shelter. A monumental £70 million has been raised for charity since the inaugural race in 2018.
If you are unsuccessful in the ballot, remember charity places are available so you can still join us on what is set to be an unforgettable edition of the London Landmarks Half.
